STATEMENT

Each day society presents us a vision of happiness base on what we are missing to achieve it, a never ending race.   So Sylvie is turning her attention toward creating, which reminds her, bliss can be found in our inner world, which is filled with possibilities.  Creation is proposing an alternative, a trip toward a universe rooted in light filled with serenity.

Sylvie’s drawing; colourful landscapes and portraits are stretching toward the sky.  The images created are propounding a parallel between the nature’s strength and our own.

Colour pencils are used to achieve contrast, coloured lines fading in the white of the paper or the wood grains, bringing softly light in the drawing.  The mountains or portrait silhouettes are gently shaded by layers of colours playing with the cold and warm.

The drawings are proposing an answer, peaceful images inspiring us to return within and find serenity.
